Horizon garden captures an instantaneous moment when subtle disturbance of still water creates small but distinct ripples that disperse from the source point and collide into obstructions as they radiate out and blend into one another. Regardless of the obstructions, the ripples eventually recover, and travel in the intended direction. The garden is a representation of water as a renewable resource that embodies histories, memories, and is a palimpsest. CDs are a medium of almost endless reusable potential, being able to live many lives of repeated use and function. A walk through the ocean of reflective CDs is intended to invoke meditative introspection and appreciation of one’s surroundings.
